Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust operates the Aarogyasri Telangana Health Insurance Scheme in the Indian state of Telangana, providing financial assistance to people from low-income backgrounds. The state government will partner with private hospitals to implement the scheme, which was launched in 2007. Providing quality healthcare to BPL families is the main goal of this program. The program was launched by the government to achieve universal health.
This scheme provides a wide range of medical and healthcare services such as surgeries, medical check-ups, and inpatient and outpatient care at a set of hospitals approved under the Aarogyasri Telangana Hospital List. All funding for the project comes from the government.

- The plan pays for treatment of more than 949 conditions, including neurological disorders, cancer, heart disease and kidney disease.
- The government provides health insurance to cover medical expenses up to Rs 5 lakh per annum.
Under the last option, Rs.10 Lakhs will be paid. - People benefiting from the scheme can obtain medical services through a group of approved hospitals. These hospitals include public and private hospitals.
- This plan provides financial assistance for the cost of hospitalization, physical exams, surgeries, and other medical procedures related to treatment of a disease covered by the plan.
- The government funds the program; recipients will not be compensated based on the cost.
- Beneficiaries can file claims for reimbursement of medical expenses through the Aarogyasri Health Insurance Scheme website or authorized centres.

- Heart Disease: This plan provides medical coverage for heart-related medical procedures such as valve replacement, angioplasty, and coronary artery bypass surgery.
- Cancer: Cost of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery for various cancers.
- Kidney disease: treatment costs for kidney diseases such as high blood pressure and kidney transplantation.
- Orthopedic Conditions: This plan covers the cost of treating chronic conditions, such as back surgeries and bone replacements.
- Neurological disorders: You are covered for treatment of neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke.
- Bowel Disease: This plan includes coverage for bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis surgery.
- Burns: Treatment of burns, including surgery and skin grafting, is covered under the Telangana Aarogyasri Health Insurance Plan.
- Conditions associated with the medical scheme: Covers the cost of treatment for respiratory conditions such as obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
- Intensive Care: You will be reimbursed for the cost of treatment for newborns with certain medical conditions. The plan may include other illnesses, so this is not an exhaustive list.
