Kerala Advocate Stipend Scheme
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced the launch of the Kerala Advocates Scholarship Scheme on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Although the program was officially launched in March 2018, it is now ready to help young lawyers in Kerala. Each eligible beneficiary of the Kerala Bar Scholarship Scheme will receive financial assistance in the form of a monthly stipend of Rs 3,000. Junior Advocates receive a monthly stipend from the Trust Board under Section 9 of the Kerala Advocates Welfare Fund Act, 1980.
The Advocate Benefit Fund established by law will be used to pay for scholarships. The Kerala government had earlier approved a monthly stipend of up to Rs. 5000/- for certain categories of young advocates shall be paid from the welfare fund established under the Kerala Advocates Welfare Fund Act, 1980, an order dated March 9, 2018 was issued.

One of the primary goals of the Bar Scholarship Program is to provide attorneys with a financial incentive to survive.
